Liechtenstein to make changes VAT Rate in 2018
It was announced on October 3rd 2017, by the Liechtenstein Government, that the standard rate of VAT and the special rate of VAT on accommodation will be reduced in 2018.
The standard rate is set to fall from 8% to 7.7%. The special rate on accommodation will fall from 3.8% to 3.7%. There will be no change to the reduced rate of 2.5%.
Liechtenstein isn’t the only country to reduce its VAT rate soon. It is similar to that of Switzerland, who is also set to reduce its VAT rate in 2018.
The changes are due to have effect from January 1, 2018.
