Taxback International recognised as a truly ‘Great Place to Work’

Press Releases

28th February 2020: Our culture is one which fosters collaboration, recognises and rewards innovation, encourages entrepreneurship and provides our people with the best employee experience.

Taxback International is today celebrating being a Great Place to Work for the fifth year in a row, with The Taxback Group listed as one of the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland in 2020.

Headquartered in Kilkenny, Taxback Group’s global footprint encompasses over 30 offices worldwide and business across 126 countries.  The group has been listed among the leading places to work in Ireland.

Taxback Group is the parent company of Ireland’s most successful and groundbreaking Fintech brands – including Taxback International, TransferMate Global Payments, Immedis and Taxback.com. In an ultra-competitive Fintech sector, Taxback Group’s companies are all at the very cutting edge of financial innovation developed here in Ireland and exported to the world’s largest multinational clientele.

Five years in a row

Taxback Group’s Founder and CEO, Terry Clune, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognised as a Great Place to Work for the fifth year in a row! We’ve learned over the past five years that nobody gets it right all of the time and I’m delighted to see such positive change within our organisation. This has been driven by our people and by listening to what they have to say about how we do things at Taxback Group. Implementing changes as a result of this strategy has empowered our employees. Our goal is to build a culture that’s second to none and this accreditation shows us that we’re making huge progress.”

Rachael O’Shea, Head of Employee Experience at Taxback Group, added:

“The very existence of a role such as Head of Employee Experience is proof positive that culture is a huge part of what we do. My role involves ensuring that every employee, regardless of their location or position, is valued and has the opportunity to make their voice heard. This has created a sea change within our organisation. Our culture is now one that fosters collaboration, recognises and rewards innovation, encourages entrepreneurship and most importantly, provides our people with the best employee experience ever.”

Best work-place for women

The Great Place to Work Institute also recognised Taxback Group as a Best Workplace for Women. The Best Workplaces for Women list was established in 2019 and recognises the top organisations which, while providing a great work environment to all employees, are creating positive and supportive workplaces for women in particular.

Commenting on being recognised as a Best Workplace for Women, Joanna Murphy, CEO of Taxback.com, said:

“Workplace gender equality is achieved when people are able to enjoy the same rewards and opportunities regardless of their gender.  Our customers are at the core of everything we do in Taxback.com. To have happy customers we must have happy staff. It is very satisfying that we have been recognised as one of the best workplaces for women but in truth, at Taxback.com gender is completely invisible, we are proud of creating an environment where entrepreneurship is applauded, at the end of the day, great people make great places.”
